Samuel May Jr. congratulates William Lloyd Garrison on the election of his son-in-law as the secretary of the American Social Science Association. He then talks about R.D. Webb, who is currently in Providence to see a doctor. May says he wrote to Webb to suggest he visit May’s house instead of Garrison’s as planned, given the poor health of Garrison’s wife. May ends the letter saying that he would be in Boston to attend the Women’s Suffrage Convention.
