Joshua H. Robbins, Gilbert Smith, Nathaniel Robbins, and Zebina H. Small write to Samuel May, reporting that they have "unanimously approved of your time for our convention." They tell May that the meeting will take place in a grove and ask, "shall the friends of liberty be favoured with our excellent friends Mr. [William Lloyd] Garrison [Wendell] Phillips & [C.C.] Burleigh, if so a great work could be done." They also state that they "expect to see a Notice of our convention in this weeks Liberator" and they ask May to ensure that it is included, along with the names of the speakers.
