In this letter to William Lloyd Garrison and Isaac Knapp, Elizabeth Brewer, Secretary for a society, mentions her efforts "to aid the colored females in forming an Anti-Slavery Society by themselves." She sends them an address read at their last meeting and asks them to send "a few copies of the Address [Garrison] delivered before the 'Freehold-Abolition-Society' and the Annual Report of the N[ew] E[ngland] Anti-Slavery Society; also the address [by Garrison] to the Free people of color."
