Moses Sawin writes to Samuel May thanking him "in behalf of the Friends of the Slave in Southboro'" for proposing to hold a meeting in the town, a place where May has "so often spoken to the ears that would not hear, or to the many empty seats." In the postscript, Sawin shares his "doubt whether should get much of audience Saturday night but [he] will consult the friends."
