This memorandum is a list in the hand of Samuel May of articles from the "National Anti-Slavery Standard" from September of 1854 to May of 1856. The newspaper clipping is an article from the June 11, 1853 issue of the "National Anti-Slavery Standard" that describes the half-yearly meeting of the Western Unitarian Christian Union at Cheltenham, England, on May 4, 1853, at which Dr. John Bishop Estlin and Reverend S. Alfred Steinthal delivered speeches.
